Garba and Dandiya event – a great success story
One of the first places in the world to hold a Garba and Dandiya event so early in the year and we notice a good attraction of the wider community in Auckland for such an event. This particular event was organised on Saturday 15th May 2021 by the Soni Samaj New Zealand and its committee members. Such an event isn’t possible without firstly by its members, public and more importantly its sponsors which Soni Samaj New Zealand would like to highlight and say thank you – ‘3C Homes’ and ‘Mortgages Online’. The event had great Indian (chaat) style street food and ‘Senso’ Masala Range of Tea sponsored by Jagdish Punja. Soni Samaj in New Zealand is a vibrant and thriving organisation. It encourages participation from all age groups and a wide cross-section of families. As an incorporated society organisation, its practices in financial and overall management are exemplary for a voluntary cultural organisation. In addition to encouraging cultural and sporting activities, it engages in humanitarian works on a regular basis. We are humbled to receive a very high quality of overall feedback, and we plan to host this Garba and Dandiya function annually.
